Of course it has it's shortcomings. Every car has them.
You need to realize that not everyone is looking for the same thing. If you think the 3's are better in every respect you should buy a 3. They are good cars and if they are a better fit for your preferences then there is nothing wrong with doing so. Some of us simply find the 1's a better match for what we care about in car.
