Considering Joining the Club
Hey New England,
I’m considering an off-warranty 135i with 50k miles exactly. The price I feel is fair at 24k and includes an extra set of wheels w/ snows. Being a relatively temperamental engine would you guys avoid an off-warranty 135 like to plague… or… with confirmation of the HPFP recall and up-to-date maintenance take a chance? I would likely choose to have to car serviced at a reputable non-BMW mechanic, do any of you have any suggestions in the Boston area? I would also consider paying a tech for their time to review the car prior to my purchase.
I understand that this is subject to opinions and it is ultimately my decision. Basically I’m curious about maintenance experiences for their 1’s outside of the BMW service department.
