I too buy little of ebay. It will never be my first choice of a place to purchase things. I bought the windscreen for my e88 on ebay, however. It was $30 or $40 less than Tischer and even more less than United. And it was another BMW dealer selling it.

I think the bottom line is the fact that the seller is on ebay only means that they do not have a commercial website of their own. They could be anything from an individual to a fairly large business who just sells off excess inventory sometimes on ebay. Unfortuantely, this sort of setup also is attractive to somebody who would not be able to sell from their own website because of their sales practices or their products. To me, ebay= buyer beware.
