Living in Vancouver...lots of rain...I wash my car lots and it is also jet black. I find a good coat of sealant makes a difference. I use Menzerna powerlock sealant. It make a big difference. The dirt and grime floats of the paint much easier and the car dries with much less effort. I always use the 2 bucket method and then dry the car with my blower (Stihl lawn blower) and do minimal hand drying...just try and spot dry with my drying towels. People can knock jet black but my car sure looks good when clean.
