I have to say that for my 3L Z4 (which didn't have anything like the power / torque of the 135i) the transformation was amazing. Having the quaife made me fall in love with the car all over again.

I would look forward to the wet days so I could do some 'power turns' on the way home

It made the car much more fun on the skid pan (I could actually get power-on oversteer rather than having to rely on weight transfer).

I dropped nearly a second at Wakefield and it turned the car into a motorkhana weapon.

The Z4 was an open diff with all aids off and the 135i has the e-diff function. I suspect this won't hold up to skid pan / motorkhana / heavy track work but I want to test first before committing the funds to another quaife.
