I was looking to pick up a square setup 18x8.5 ET 45 (arc 8) with 235/40 all around. I read through the tire fitment thread and some people say it wont fit and others say it fits with no problems. I am on stock suspension, but I plan on new suspension with ~1" drop. Will I need camber plates/spacers to run this setup?

Stock you won't have any issues, though the tire may rub the strut on the inside. Hence the need for a spacer. Not positive on that though.
Lowered it's a matter of camber. W/out camber plates I can tell you that on a lowered car, that's going to be a tough fit.
