My corners of the tape were almost to the edge completely....it lays perfect so thats why i went all out with the microfiber etc.

By the way, to the person who recommended Tarminator for the removal of the old double-sided tape, let me know if you're ever in Jacksonville and your drink is on me! Freaking genius! I've gone through this exact same process before (installed a similar spoiler on my previous 135i), and back then I struggled for about 1-2 hours to remove the old tape while ensuring I wasn't damaging/scratching the clear coat, and thanks to Tarminator this time around I had the trunk lid clean and ready to go in about 20-30 minutes. Highly recommended!!! 
EDIT: To the guy who recommended the straight edge wrapped in a microfiber towel, you get a drink too...I don't have a single mark/blister anywhere on my hands this time around. |
