The APEX ARC-8 is made in 17's. There is a 17x8.5" et38
The Nitto/Total 135i guys race on that sized wheel with 255/40/17's all around, but they did a lot of work to the back. It's much more reasonable to run that size with a 235/40/17 or 245/40/17 and some camber plates up front.
basically anything above 225 for track or autocross is going to need camber plates up front to fit properly with an extreme summer tire or r-compound
