Perhaps it is even a phychological issue where you just have to drive the cars differently, ie just jam your foot down on the brake. I subconsciously ease up, perhaps that isn't what the soft stop likes to have happen.

I have an early 4/05 build US 325 and my brakes are just unacceptable. The car has 1400 mi (well past break-in) and it's still slipping at every stop. It's come to the point I literally have to plant my foot on the brake pedal to stop this car without jerking forward.
Frankly I'm fed up with this car. It's a great car when you're not braking or steering (shimmy vibration)...I happen to have the need to do both!
I'm getting rid of my 745 and this 3, both have been a pain since day one.
