I had mine installed at the dealer on my N 54 and all they did was add a few washers under the attachment points to give it enough clearence to clear the stock airbox!
And lets face it this piece add's no structural rigidity to the car and is strictly for show! ...IMHO
PS: I have the same one for sale @ 400.00 in the Canadian forum
