In the states there is a company the makes a custom kit for the MX-5. It includeds an LS7 (Which fits underneath the hood), Corvette tranny, diff, and rear axel, and a custom driveshaft.
The whole thing costs as much as a second MX-5 but man does it smoke the dragstrip.
And nice review of the bar. I'm saving up for one of these myself.
