Yup! A friend of mine (not me
) tried a top speed run in a Z4MC on CA's i-5 straight when there was no traffic. The speedometer was compared to GPS logging.
Speedo read 160+ mph, while the GPS registered a high of only 151mph. That's about 5% difference between speedo and actual.
Didn't get to try out the tune the car had, to see if it really was unlimited past 155mph. Maybe next time
