Initially, the rattle in the sunroof only occured when it was fully open. But then it started occuring when it was partially opened as well.
I had it repaired a couple of months. Apparantly it was a faulty sunroof cassette which had to be replaced. Unfortunately, BMW didn't do a very good job. I'll be taking it in again in a couple of weeks as the sunroof is not lined up properly although only an asthetic issue.
They've also introduced a couple new rattles from inside the roofliner which was my biggest concern when they started the initial repair. Oh, and the bottom of my driver side A pillar trim has a small crack in it which I'm sure was from careless removal and re-placement of the trim pieces when working on the sunroof.
