all the random percentages... that UK NES 17.5%... is that a 17.5% tax on teh actual value of the item itself? (roughly $1000 AUD)
wtf is a fuel surcharge? it's 15% of WHAT?
i was quoted $1100ish for air freight
and it's looking like that much OR MORE... for sea freight?!
ED: 17.5% appears to be the OLD VAT rate (now 20%) but doesn't apply to exports :/
so if i'm reading it right.. $106+x (15% of?) to get it on the boat... $120 in actual shipping costs... $588 in local costs (+fuel?? 12.5% something)...
$814, yeesh!.. though adding another pallet, keeping it under 1 cube.. would at zero extra cost :/
