The problem with this suggestion is by the time you get the cabin filter, cabin filter housing, the end covers for the brake fluid reservoir, the tray by the windshield, and the large engine "beauty" cover, and the coil pack off, you might as well be in there changing out the damn plug already. It's a PITA.

To the OP, i dont know which DIY you found, but this video by Cobb about misfire diagnosis goes through step by step process of swapping out the plugs. It was hugely helpful when I did mine. I had my laptop on the workbench and followed along with the video.
