The 128i with manual is fantastic...don't even bother with the auto unless you need it for a utilitarian reason (bad knee, ect). I have a 2012 128i black on black light on options (has heated seat, bluetooth ect) manual...its light, nimble and VERY Quick! It also cost me around $29,000 brand new! I find the handling good without sports setup, still blew away the handling of my friends G37S I drove the other day. I am thinking about a sports PE exhaust to raise the engine note a bit but otherwise car is perfect, FAST, fun as 5hit to drive and under $30,000!
I stopped by the dealer this week. The service manager took my car for a car wash. when he got back he asked, is that a 128 or 135? i was thinking (wtf?) but remembered my car is debadged for a cleaner look (he should still be able to tell from the bumpers)....anyway, when I told him it was a 128 he looked shocked!
