Puncture in rear. Ouch! All sorted for £336.

1870 miles in. Rear near side puncture. Ouch! £336 for a replacement from Micheldever (fitted). All sorted now.

Any idea what the actual difference is between the different Michelin PS2 tyres? There seems to be an "N0", "Porsche N2" and a "BMW" variant each with different load ratings (94, 94 and 98 respectively) and they go up in price - the XL being the most expensive. Is it a tyre bespoke to BMW. That would explain the price as it is more unique and less mass market.

Punctured tyre has a nail about 1" from the outside edge. It is being sent to "Somerset" for "major repair" for £18, which is supposedly "the only place left in the country that can do that".

Is it the case that garages don't now do these repairs on-site. If so it is bit of a pain because you end up having to buy a new tyre then get a repaired one back for a spare. Not as bad though as having to throw the tyre away.

What is the betting that I never get a puncture in the rears again. Bound to be the front next time. Sods law.
