Thank you all for the feedback.
The loss of the warranty is the one thing that troubles me with going aftermarket. I know some of you guys are competent mechanics (I have some mechanical skill - change the oil, bleed the brakes, etc..) but I for one am not an electronics/programming guru and would prefer not to take the risk of going out of pocket should an unfortunate event occur. This is why I particularly like this car.
