I can tell you. On realoem. Both auto amd mt axles are same diameter(but do not have info on lenght). If you resreach enough, you will find that the dimensions are different between the auto and mt diff. Both car has same subframe, suspensions, wheel bearings, etc. The different would be in the axles amd the diff itself.

If you are saying there is no "drastic" difference. Why are alxes label as auto or mt from bmw as wel as aftermarkent company? But hey, if u want to chance it and put incorrect lenght axles in your car then go for it.
No you don’t bolt on m3 diff with 135 axles lmao you use m3 axles. Yup you’re right desk jockey I’ll continue to read since I don’t know anything.
