But that is irrelevant to your issue as the SES light indicates a malfunction affecting emissions and has nothing to do with scheduled service. It often results from a loose gas cap, but could mean a misfire. First, make sure the gas cap is properly tightened and if the light doesn't go out after a couple of days, then have your dealer take care of it under warranty.
