Nope, when I first put them in they actually sounded pretty much identical to the N54 mids they were replacing, after about 50 miles or so they started to open up, but it was probably another month down the road before they really settled into the deep tone they have now. 0 rasp, and they cut down on the drone that had been present with just the meisterschaft muffler previous. IMO if you're going for a "race" axle-back and/or messing with the downpipes, a resonator is a must.
