Yea they say its 48 watts so that's not as high as I thought, it uses a reflective property that makes the filament burn brighter yet not generate more heat. I guess it's called infrared reflecting its pretty neat. Supposedly brighter light without the drawbacks. It's not widely known and the patent GE has keeps other manufacturers from using it. So they get super bright without the drawbacks of high wattage because of the infrared reflecting tech.
