We are talking about the z212 with 140 tread rating correct? I have been running these during the summer on my mazda6. The grip is incredible in the dry. If you can make them squeal you are probably on the edge of death. Usually the driver will chicken-out before you run out of grip.
The only drawback I can think would be noise level if you are coming from a touring tire. If you like grip and don't mind higher higher noise and shorter tread life this is for you.
At the price point they really have no rival for ultimate dry grip.
