Small can be beautiful: the ///M badge on the 1M is smaller than the "regular" ///M badge (M3, M5, etc.). So the one you got via eBay is almost certainly the first part of a "regular" ///M badge.
If my memory serves me correctly, someone over here replaced the ///M badge on the boot of his 1M with the "regular" ///M badge, because he considered it more appropriate.
