Cool Carbon and Hawk HPS feel similar, with better modulation than OEM pads. Cool Carbon is a street/track pad. HPS is a street pad.

Cool Carbon has much less dust than HPS. Since it's a street/track pad, Cool Carbon also has much higher max temp and will withstand fade better in the mountains of Indiana.

Since it's a street pad, HPS has slightly lower working temp and will have slightly better bite on the very first stop of a particular trip or after ten minutes on a freeway.

The OP did not ask about track (road course) performance. Cool Carbon is okay for a novice or a good driver who knows how to conserve brake performance. HPS is okay for someone's first event, but after that will fade badly after two or three laps.
