I'm sure you'll be able to find lighter wheels out there, but what I think is the best trade off is the lightest wheel where the strength of the wheel is not a concern.

For comparison,

BBS RGR (very strong, pretty expensive) - 18x8.5 is 18.6 lbs.
BBS RE (almost same cost, strength) - 18x8.5 is 20.5 lbs.

Anything in the 20ish and lighter once you get to 18" is considered in the range of lightweight wheels

OZ makes a light wheel, but I've seen one break on the track. For RGRs, we wrecked the left side of the race car into a tire wall (backed by a concrete wall) that totally wrecked the whole left side of the car (front fender, door, rear quarter panel, both bumpers) and both of the wheels on that side of the car are still fine.
