my family's first BMW, a brand new 2001 530iA. My mom drove that for 6 years and 85000 miles with barely an issue. We had to pry it out of her hands when the alternator went. She's had 2 E65s and now an F01 since then, so she's happy. But she still talks about her 5. That car is the reason I think we'll always have an E39 in the family. We had a CPO 2000 528i while we had the 530 and now we have an E39 M5 in Carbon Black/Caramel with 44k on it,
