The PE doesn't come with a complete midpipe. I comes with a resonator-delete y-pipe. You cut your existing midpipe and use the supplied clamps to attach the y-pipe. You don't need to install the y-pipe in order to install axle back so you could choose to sell the y-pipe and clamps. Unfortunately, I find the y-pipe has more to do with the sound/character of the PE than the axle back. Opinions differ on this point.
