The twitchiness is characteristic of the car, it's why I bought it.
It makes you smile at anytime.
Not sure about the clutch stink, I've never experienced that.
Take another one for a spin to compare, I've not heard of any real clutch issues with the car. The car will go thru about a litre of oil between oil changes, was it just a low oil light that came on? You can check the level in iDrive.
