Give me some wheel cleaner suggestions from Autozone or Discount Auto Part
I use to use a commercial wheel cleaner from a buddy that owns a detail shop that's been working great for me w/o any clear coat damage. unfortunately though, he is closing up his business so now I have to find a different means to clean my wheels.
I have an Autozone and a Discount Auto Parts very close to my house and I wanted to ask the pros in this forum what would be a good, but safe brand of wheel cleaner to use. any suggestions on brands from either of the above mentioned stores?

I will never use any wheel cleaners, it eventually dulls the calipar paint. I use a Wheel cleaning brush with soft brissels (sold at any auto parts store) and the same soap I use to wash the car with. I also apply a little wax on the wheels which seems to keep the dust from sticking, a little easier to clean the next time I wash the car.

For the BMW stuff shown above: Apply, let sit, gently agitate with a brush, and rinse.
It works brilliantly. I think it's basically P21S wheel gel. Great stuff, and your dealer probably gives you a discount. It's like $6/bottle.

And do yourself a favor, remove the wheel/tire and really clean front and back and then coat with Zymol Wheel Coat. You just spray it on and let dry. The next time you wash your car the wheel dust and road grime will clean up much, much easier.

One thing I'm doing guys is that every couple of days (dry days, if it rains this doesn't work) is taking a dry shop rag and wiping them down. They have a coat of wax already on them so the dust comes off pretty easily. Again, don't wet it or use detail spray until the dust is cleaned off. Takes about 5 minutes total and I use the red shop rags you can get from Costco in a huge bag.
