Clicking noise when Steering to the Right??
I started noticing this today that when I steer to the right my car is making a clicking noise or a flapping noise. It almost sounds as if something is making contact with the guard but I'm not too sure. I inspected the car underneath and everything looks okay but I'm not too sure if I would know if something was wrong anyway. Seems like there is only just enough clearance between the front tyre and the guard but it's not rubbing. It only occurs when I steer to the right and it sounds as though it's coming from the rear. I haven't travelled more than 40km/hr since this has started happening. I recently switched to RE-11's 225/40/18 front and 255/35/18 rear. Any ideas on what the problem might be as I did take the car for a spirited drive this morning.

Sure sounds like a tire rubbing issue. Perhaps the new tires are too wide for the car. Maybe clena the tires are inspect the insides to see if there are any signs of urbbing.

I've had this a few times. The brake backing plate needs to be retorqued. I threw some loctite on there last time instead of letting the dealer monkey with it, and both sides have been quiet ever since.

Yep. It's a common issue. Mine's been doing it for a while, I just haven't had a chance to get under there and fix it.

I asked my dealer to retorque the brake plates and they did and the problem still persists. It was really loud tonight, people could hear it from a block away and I can hear it really loud with the windows up. It's really embarrassing, I need to take it back to the dealer but they have no idea what it is.
