So i slapped on a set of 17 in winter tires in lieu of my staggered OEM 18s. They are Blizzak Revo1s 225s all around as oppose too 215s and 245s. Should i be following the PSI ratings on the door panel? I was told to monitor the tread wear with a gauge after a week by a Bridgestone employ who i contacted on the phone. Im blatantly way too lazy for that so if any1 knows the answer, it would be much appreciated.

Your doorjamb plaque should give pressures for 17" winter tires. In 2008, it was 33/36 for the 135i coupe vs. 36/36 for 18" staggered summers.

My plaque says 36/38 for my staggered OEM set up but its an 09. Wonder why they changed it. Could some1 with an 09 or 10 model kindly tell me what their plaque says for their standard non-M rims?

Just want to get the most out of my tire set up as i bought it used with 5/32 left. And with my driving, i wouldnt be surprised if the rears would b useless by the end of the season.

Off topic but my rear Potenza RE050A were done after 14,000 miles and ive launched it a max 5 times. any1 else not like the wear on them?

They have a 140 tread-wear rating, one of the lowest on any street tire.

And my fronts have like 8/32 left, but they did get changed through my road hazard insurance a while back. Sucks cuz i have 2 perfectly fine tires in the front but want to switch setups. Oh any1 want them while im at it?
