Alpine White starting to go yellow in places
Anybody else got this problem?
Unfortunately my Coupe does big miles and gets cleaned less than I'd like as I don't trust car wash places. Noticed last time I cleaned it that all the leading edges on the car (doors, door frame, around petrol filler flap, leading edges of wheel arches etc.) are yellowing. Sort of like a tobacco stain colour. Tried an oil and tar remover that is very good on tar spots, but no joy, didn't shift it. Any ideas?

London smog? It sounds enironmental since it's on the leading edges. You will need to use a good cleaning product. I use Zaino - try the claybar treatment followed by Z5 then Z2 then Z6 clear seal.
Other systems may work, but basically claybar, then a cleaner/swirl treatment, then a fine polish followed by a sealer/wax. Or take it to a detailing shop. |

Mine lives on the streets of London and has managed 10k miles in 6 months, depressing for city driving, but has none of these signs you mention. I hope I don't get them (although I do have 4 very nasty stone chips on my front end/bonnet - urgh).

Managed to get most of it off with a bit of effort. Wax discolouring where road filth is building up? Doesn't seem permanent

Sure am. Still some awkward to get to bits to clean off. Worst is front wheel arches around where the black plastic attaches. Does looks much better now though
