Motorline bmw
I know there's been rants about motorline BMW @ bne in the past
But I just can't help it but again, emphasize how bad they are. It's usually the service that gets hammered but could I just say their Parts department just sucks even more. I guess the really don't give a rats about customer service. Long story short, I've ordered some parts from them, and it took almost a week to purchase it but not until I went to them directly. they failed to return my calls 5 days straight even when I called them to remind them. When the parts arrived, I went to drop my car in for it to be installed. Greeting by some guy name lance or something. He ends up not getting the exact right part but wouldn't admit he's at fault. Our conversation starts to heat up, and I ended up needed to buy extra parts to get it done. Just thought about how he could just say: look we are sorry, we will get it right next time. I mean after all we are a customer right? It really dosent matter if he got the wrong part, it's just that they need to CHANGE their attitude. |

That's shocking mate. Really unexcusable - sounds a lot like the idiots up here! Unlike here though, you've got a few dealers down there, take your dollars elsewhere.

They haven't changed much then,it's been nearly two years since my visit
still pretty bad i guess. Go to Westside bmw, great staff and they look after you,i go they all the time as the Brisbane bmw at the valley gets pretty busy as it,s the same owner. Had a brand new 5 series sedan diesel as a loaner no questions asked, you don't have to bend over backwards to get a loaner, keep up the good work people out at Westside bmw and Brisbane bmw, very professional.

Be careful with Westside that they don't charge you for the loan car. The first time I went there for a service they tacked on the loan car charge ($30 I think) without telling me.

I must be the only one who's never had an issue with Motorline and can only sing thier praises.
Strange considering I probably have the lowest cost vehicle of anyone on this site BMW wise... I'll happily be going back to Motorline for my next BMW. |

I went there for my 50k service and I didn't have any issues apart from the fact that they charged me for the loan car but they did tell me this before I dropped my car off so no real complaints from me at this stage.

Service department lets me down most of the time, cant fault the sales team at all though.
The service team is getting better than a few years ago, but still room to improve IMO

they told me that they fixed my squeaky breaks but they didnt! I have tried all the usual methods to fix this issue but nothing is working. Who would have thought buying a BMW and you would have such an issue. So embarrassing when I get home and need to go down to lower basement

Motorline didn't tell me that they were worn or anything after I got my car back so I would assume its an issue with the crappy pads themselves? shouldn't they fix it under warranty rather then make me pay for a new set?

How long are they supposed to last anyway? I'm up to 60k kms but it's been doing it since around 25k kms... Would the performance rotors fix it?

I have been fighting squeaky brakes for years on the 318i - but strangely enough no problem with the 1er after 35000ks. May be i don't drive it hard enough these days...

I am similar to Richard, mine is at about 55k and its being doing it for ages. When I took my car into Motorline recently and told them about the squeaky brakes the service guy made up some crap saying its just a film on the pads and it will go away soon. I am almost certain that they are just waiting for my warranty to expire which is very soon then they will be like "oh sorry sir but these actually need to be replaced so cough up $$$"...crooks.

So it is definitely the pads and not rotors?

My fronts lasted 40k and my rears 50k. Not sure how you's are getting 55k + out of them. I now have the performance rotors on all 4 too, no squeaking. Maybe try some hard stops from 100, 80 and 60.

What about just getting an aftermarket set of pads? Rotors are expensive....
