Uuc Evo Iii
So I put in the UUC Evo III today.
I didn't do any DIY mainly because you just follow the directions and secondly I don't know how well the photos would turn out. I odered the EVO III for the 328i fits perfectly. It was a little tricky getting the collar screws in but the trick I found was to undo the front of the carrier, two pins, and then this allows you to rotate the carrier with the rear of it still attached or remove it. I just left it in. They say that you get a 30% reduction in throw travel but it seems to me like it more like 50% reduction. The throws are lighting accurate, and you a little firmer,( but I like it that way). It also gives a great mechanical click letting you know that you are in gear. The shift lever is height adjustable however I just left it at its height from the factory seems to work well for me. (I think it might be slightly higher than stock but I wanted it higher). However there is room to lower it to very low height if you like. I'm using the RK6A-L shift knob from UUC also and the added weight it has make it perfect. I'd really suggest this to anyone who finds the shifter sub par. If you guys have any further questions feel free to PM me. Last edited by EngPhys09; 07-07-2009 at 11:57 AM.. |
