Side Bolster Control in Sport Seats (Retrofitted to a Car w/Non-Sport Seats)
All,
I sold my seats to a guy who had non-sport seats. Mine were manual, heated sport seats. This obviously means he has side bolster control now. Currently, he has no power to the side bolsters and we're trying to figure out what changed from my car to his. Obviously I also have heated seats where he does not, so we know that the heated seats is not going to work. Is the wiring or anything different between the two cars that would cause the side bolsters to NOT be powered? Thanks! |

Yes, the wiring is different. Cars that have adjustable lumbar and/or side bolster support have and additional +12V line coming from the fuse box that powers the air pump and solenoid valves responsible for these features.
