So I just wrote on Vorsteiner's Facebook wall asking why I couldnt find a 1 series hood in stock anywhere.
I got told that they discontinued it - that it was a limited run.

Then they said dont fear were making a totally new and originally designed boot lid for the 1 series coming out this summer!

To which I said "We dont need another duck tail trunk, we need more awesome and unique hood options in the 1 series community."

This conversation received no reply and has since been deleted off of their wall.


And here I was set to buy a hood from them...

Maybe they'll make an Amuse style trunk. That would be interesting.

So hey cooler if you want to convince Slek to make a hood like this id be all over it





It would be interesting. But ultimately I was backed into and I really wanted a VRS hood as a replacement because I think its awesome.


Also I came wanting a hood. Not a trunk!

Sorry, the 1 series market is just to small for that many hood options from SLeK. They will probably just make one with vents later to the power dome and that would be it. I'm still trying to convince them to do sideskirts / diffuser which would be better than another hood or trunk.

So I never got an answer and our previous line of questions seems to have been misplaced...

Why was the hood discontinued?

I thought Revozport was vaporware.

Also its not the same. The Vorsteiner one is just perfect for the car and if I dont get one ill just be looking at my car and thinking, man, couldve gotten the other one


So I just checked my Facebook. I have a notification from Vorsteiner. Its a dead link.

What do we think they said to me before they deleted it?

I was not aware of that. I actually e-mailed them much earlier today. I got a reply back fairly quickly. They seem that the price of the hood and trunk will increase on the first of March.

And he e-mailed me a link of fitment of both the trunk and hood. Check them out

The hood isnt bad. I like it more than any stuffed socks hood, but its still not as nice as the VRS one, but then again you cant do better than perfect in my head

Ohh well, guess ill ordering myself a Raze hood :/

The reason they stopped making them is because the quality stunk... ask me how I know and warping . cracking....

I have that hood from VIS.
It look great on the car.
