is this supposed to support the "function over fashion; who cares if its a fart can as long as it works" argument? cause all i see here is an e90 street car (note no roll bar/cage) with a fart can, a huge wing and some porsche lettering on the back. i'm always in favor of a good function over fashion design, but that's not what i see in this image.

The exhaust was not welded in my driveway, a little place called CFT designed it and for everyone else that is worried about how close my diffuser doesn't sit to the exhaust, I can not put it any closer b/c sometimes when I get on it flames come out and will melt the diffuser. (this happened in my evo) this was designed with minimal bends hence the angle, the resonator and can was added later b/c I was getting pulled over to much. the piping that im running does not have many options b/c it is quite large. I sourced this muffler from a supra guy b/c my options are diesel truck or supra parts I oppted for supra. as for the peanut gallery...The day you guys pioneer a 3.5" exhaust and do not want to pay 2k for HPF you'll understand. |

I had an STi. Until this guy can drive that car around a track as fast as Leh Keen, why the F are you worried about an extra 2 hp from a tiny bend. I am NOT hating on you trying to be different, but leave it at that.

for the future when single turbo is an option for me im not stuck buying another exhaust, just have to switch out the Y Pipe and +2 hp today maybe +10 tmw ;-) but hey whats +10hp whats +100hp why even buy performance mods if you cant be the fastest guy on earth right ... LOL I guess the difference for me is when I gas it you see my tail lights.... end of story Last edited by hugen; 07-03-2012 at 02:28 PM.. |

Anyways, i think a single exit jdm style exhaust could look decent, but i agree that the angle shows too much of it. However it was designed for function over form so not too bad, more power to you Sent from my Droid. |

I stated I liked the e90s exhaust because it reminds me of a jdm item (reread my quote of jsmonet... I only quoted his 2nd comment, which was about the looks of the e90 exhaust, ie: muffler). |

This is too much fun to stay out of... Here's my 2 cents:
The car looks sick, love the stance and the width on those wheels. The exhaust looks a bit large / (obviously) not designed to fit the splitter.. Uhm, that's pretty much it. People have opinions.. haters hate.. blablahblah. and the "+2 horsepower for less bends" comment.. why not? It probably makes him feel good about having a unique setup. More power to him. (In more than one way ) |

To each their own but I figured since everyone else posted their thoughts figured id share aswell. I would recommend one large burns resonator in the mid section and another small one for the axle back with a turn down for the tip. This way you have fitting looks, function and amazing sound. Ohh and here is the link to their site they make by far the best stuff out there! http://www.burnsstainless.com/ultra-lightmufflers.aspx

Rocket pipe exhaust does not equate to "supra sound"
