I can't say it more eloquent as others already posted, but your story (and post of it) compels me to express my respect .
Cute boy, all the best to your family. Besides some individuals, best M3 color and a great canvas for great looking OEM ///M striping?? |

I knew that there should be a special reason why you put your 1M for sale and it obviously was very special indeed. Your story made me think since yesterday about lots of things, I guess this is one of the reasons why you posted it in the first place. Thanks for sharing it and I wish you and your family all the best.

Excellent call as always sir.
Much respect and hope you will be still hanging around here.

Being a father of a 1.5 year old myself, I admire your dedication to your son. I too have decided to sell my 1M so that I can save more money to take back home to the U.S. I have enjoyed cars all of my life but nothing comes close to the time I enjoy with my son.
Congrats. |

Thanks for all your contributions to the community (the registry is priceless!)
Although I'm sad you sold, I'm glad your adorable son has some snazzy new wheels! Best of luck! |

good to hear the backstory, and yes, cool wheels for kids over cool wheels for dad. Pretty much every parent here on this board would make that choice, yes. congrats to your son. Mr Metak. |

Your comments about the 1M as a daily driver echo mine. I was actually tempted to sell mine and get a 335is. Figured it was 90% of the fun, a bunch of money less (they depreciate like a rock and used ones are everywhere) and I could actually drive it occasionally without all the worries. Plus I could get a color I really like (BLUE).
Couldn't do it - the 335is just looks so plain*. If it came with the M3 body kit, I would do it in a heartbeat. So I'm stuck with the 1M. *No offense to 335is owners However, I think your son's wheels are even cooler
