I don't look outside our 1M Forum enough. When I did, I found this.

Awesome conversion- mating best parts of a 1M to a hatch.

Coming from a WRX Wagon to a 1M, I really like this. Sad to see a 1M dismantled though. Would rather it was a factory creation. Too few 1Ms in the World now.

Yeah looked like a 135 to me? I could be wrong though!

Scroll through the photos. VO 1M donated it,s front half, rear suspension and axel.

Donor car was a 135i, lots of 1M parts but it's not a dismantled 1M. Great project!

Definitely a 135, not a 1M.

Wow... I know it's not a 1M. But they absolutely dismantled a 1M to add the best parts to the 135 hatch.

Here's the builders list:
My costum build 1M E87 N54 420hp

M3 e92 diff

1M Front org.
catless down pipes
big intercooler
open airfilter
Bilstein pss9 B16 Road controll electric hardnes
Adj. camber front
Performance seats
Performance brakes
Ess stage 2 whit 99oct fuel
big oil cooler
costum made back bumper and fenders backside

Note: he says "1M front" yes, the entire front. You can see the VO1M with it's nose taken off. Windshield back it's a modified 135.

That's not a VO 1M, it's a red 135. Look at the wheels, the flat fenders, and the lack of fender vents. The engine doesn't say Powered by BMW M either. It's an N54, but it's not the 1M's N54. I'm pretty sure he's saying that the 1M parts are all original OEM parts, not that they were sourced from a 1M.

That said, it's an amazing conversion, and you can sleep soundly knowing that no 1M was harmed in its creation.

The donor car has a sun-roof. It isn't a 1M.

Got it. I should have looked closer. I am relieved no 1Ms were harmed in the making of this very cool hatch.
