Tints
had my 1 for almost a year now and finally getting around to tint it. any suggestions on what percentage i should go for? i feel like 35's are to light and 20's are too dark. if anyone has any pics of theirs please share. thanks

Haven't been pulled over yet, no front plate on my car either. I'm always checking out the rearview in case a cop comes rolling beside me. In that case, only thing I could do is put my windows down and hope he/she has something better to do that pull me over.

I was in the same boat. I put on Llumar 30% which came to a total value when tested 25-28% since our windows do have a some tint in the glass already. refer to 'my garage' for pics.

I've got 35 all around and I think its perfect..... keep in mind that this might look a tad bit darker than it actually is because these were taken on an overcast day.

Got mine done saturday. 35 on the side windows, 20 on the rears and back.
I think I would go 35 for the rear windows if I did it again.

I did 35% all around and I'm really happy with how it looks. Perfect in my opinion. Especially since my interior is dark, it makes it look darker when looking in, but not too dark when looking out.

I have Huper Optik 20% and am switching it to HO 30. Not that 20 is too dark, but Huper Optik has a lot of "ghosting" in the 20% film. It's like holographic splotches that look pretty bad. If getting Huper get no less than 30. I'll post pics of my 20, and then the 30 when I get it redone.
BTW Huper looks absolutely stunning on BMWs (aside from the ghosting which is only visible in direct sunlight) |
