Love my 128 as well. The extra cost savings from the 128-135 let me add some great cosmetics to the look of the vehicle (don't have much money as I am a college student )

Having owning my 135, and when it was getting serviced my loaner was a 2012 128i, i got in the car and was very soon sadly disappointed. The power was severly limited compared to my 135, but I have a JB4 on it and intakes and it dynoed at 350rwhp and 390 lbs of tq. If I hadn't driven the 135 or owned it beforehand, i probably would have liked the 128i better. Drive both, your decision will be very easy. The N54 power will bring a huge smile to your face!

I'd be sadly disappointed when my $40k-$50k 135i was in the shop several times/year. N54 with HPFP? No thanks.

How so compared to your 128? Too much power?

Not mad at all. Just wondering how a grown man rationalizes such troll-ish behavior.
The OP was clearly asking 128i owners how they felt about their purchase. Of course some immature, insecure 135i owner would come in here with the same old 128i bashing that goes around from time to time. Your meme response further reinforces your level of maturity. Congrats.

well, you did spend a lot of time posting in a thread directed towards 128i OWNERS.
anyway, I've haven't regretted my purchase, my goal is to eventually turn my 128i into a track car in few years. The 128i seems to be a cheaper way to do so.

I'm now at 44k miles. I absolutely love my 128i. I have owned a lot of cars, corvettes, 03' Cobras, S2000, etc.
I have sports suspension and a couple of bells and whistles. The car has no problems with reliability and is fun in the corners. Power is plenty. If you're into drag racing buy something else....lol. I love this car. I'm glad I didn't buy a 135i. While the power of the 135 was alluring, the issues with turbos wasn't. |
