2010 135i convertible good deal?
Hello 1Addicts,
I've been searching for a 6 speed convertible and they're pretty thin here in California. But I've located a 2010 that is about 300 miles away...worth the drive if it's a decent deal. Specs: 18000 miles Sport, Convenience, Nav, Premium, heated seats. Essentially every option available except ipod/usb adaptor (hope it can be added). Not CPO. can CPO be added if the car is eligible? The carfax is clean but suppose there could be a reason it isn't certified. asking about $37k, and wondering what price would make the drive or flight worth it. I could order a new 2012 similar to this, that after rebates and discounts would be about $44,000 (without nav, which isn't important to me). Based on KBB and Nada, price is in the ballpark, but those are usually pretty high and wishful thinking. So what do you all think? Be patient and order up a 2012 or grab this thing and save a few $'s. Typically don't keep a car more than 3 years, but this used one would then go past warranty. Thanks, Mark |

You can definitely negotiate.
I just got my 2011 (non-cpo) 135i 6 speed convertible w/ leather, bluetooth (value package), and the sport package with ~12,000 miles for $34,950 Last edited by friedymeister; 11-20-2011 at 11:04 AM. |

Very helpful info. Thanks! The dealer doesn't seem interested in selling me the car, but thinking I'll throw down a low offer. Wish I could find an '11 at 34950 setup like that, but losing patience. If an '11 went lower with lower miles, I'll offer well below $35k for this '10.

It depends. Are you cool with an N55 or do you want an N54? Its really the only major difference.
Just if you get the 2010 ask if all relevant roof TSBs were performed. There were a couple back in the early days of the vert Also, spend an extra $250 and install yourself an E93 M3 swaybar. Even if you dont track or do anything other than have fun youll thank yourself. It was the first and most noticeable mod that I did to my car.

Will check with the dealer on the roof. Don't want to buy a car and end up leaving it in the shop to get stuff fixed right after that. Thanks for the tip, and also on the swaybar. Did some reading on that and sounds like a great bang for the buck mod.

For those shopping, ended up at 37k with the CPO and usb/ipod adaptor added. They gave me more on my trade-in than initially offered (up $2000) so hard to say what the car really cost, but the spread between my car and the new 135i was where I wanted to be. No more research on prices for me, and now onto making her mine!
