Thanks for your advice. I noticed Clayton was there on Saturday @ Grattan, but I missed him as he didn't show on the Sunday as I wanted to ask how compliant his car is for track/street setups.

Hope to see you guys out soon. Perhaps the fall?

Clayton is running an interesting setup on his car now. He rolled the front fenders and pulled the bumper away from them a bit to wedge stock (rear 8.5") 264s in the front. I believe he's running 245s on those and 255s in the rear.

His car is pretty compliant, but jounces A LOT on the street. I'm guessing some M3 bits would help this; however, not sure he's looking to make those changes.

And just let me know when you're available and I'll be game to meet up. I've been attending Cars, Coffee 'n' Karts religiously now. Also, I'm halfway considering the sale of my 135i, but would most-definitely still stay involved on this board. The 'details' of the "1-series ///M Coupe" will determine whether I get another one or not.

All of the above are vehicles I've considered; however, for the time being I'm picking up a commuter car to see where a few used vehicles sit price-wise next year. I'm also interested to see details & pricing on the 1-Series ///M Coupe.

The two used cars I'm eying are the C6 Z06 and GT-R.

Does anybody have a place to recommend to buy tires? My track tires are pooched and need to get a fresh set for next year.

I'm thinking of either
Toyo R888
Nitto NT-01

Anybody recommend someplace where I can get these tires?

Hey Michiganders! I figure its time to post in this section now, I used to post in the European section, but I recently PCS'd to OH, so now its time to move over to the Midwestern section. Why am I posting in the Michigan section if I live in OH? Well, my parents live in MI, and thats where Im originally from. So I'll be up there often, mostly in the Trenton/Downriver area.


I just picked up my 135i from the port in MD, so I haven't taken it up to MI yet. Hopefully later this month. Maybe I'll see some of you guys on the streets.

I've seen the white with black roof at meijers once, and the black one at nino savagio I believe, some time ago. Good looking rides, both o ya!
