Bilstein B12 Prokit for my 128i (Updated with Pics)
I had been planning on going with either the Koni yellow's or FSD with Eibach Prokits until I ran across the Bilstein B12 Prokit.
It uses Eibach Prokit springs with matched Bilstein shocks....and...wait for it..... 760 Euro installed with alignment. That's roughly $1000 with labor and alignment included. I was looking at about $1000 just to get the previous setup shipped here to Germany. I will certainly post sometime next week with my impressions, especially since I was not able to find any reviews of the B12 on this site. Last edited by Aaron09128i; 03-02-2012 at 12:16 PM. |

I've been thinking about Koni Yellows or FSD's myself. This seems like a very nice package. However I don't want to lower my car (more than the 10mm already lowered due to sport suspension). Do you know if this kit can be set to factory height?

Kept the original ride height, just swapped out the dampers (B6 for stock springs, B8 for use with lowering springs). Also replaced the front sway bar with the M3 bar. Common upgrade if you search through the forum.

I'm stationed in Germany and I was thinking about maybe going with Hamann springs that would have been installed at Hamann with alignment for about 750€. your setup sounds a lot better, where did you buy it and where are you getting it installed???

I'm stationed in K-town and I'm purchasing it through a local shop who is installing it as well. There are a couple of German websites that offer it for about 760 Euro before taking off VAT. Let me know if you have trouble finding them.

Sounds like a great deal. Plus your taking it to a shop that has done this a few times(by the sound of it). Always good when the mechanics don't "learn" on your own car! Btw... (the reason why I wanted to post) is that this Friday is "another" holiday(three Kings Day or "little Christmas). Hope everything goes smoothly with the install & looking forward to your writeup. ![]() Dack |

I found the website but when I click on it, it just takes me to a blank page. When you take your car in do you think you could get me an email? I can't call them cause I'm in afghanistan at the moment.

Yeah, for whatever reason this site won't let me just copy and paste the link.
Just go to bilstein.de, switch to english, and look for dealers. It should give you two contacts for Bilstein in the US. After doing some searching of my own, I'm not sure if they sell the B12 Prokit in the states. I can't find any websites that are based in the U.S. either. |

I am heavily researching a suspension kit right now because I have to change my shocks.
I am torn between a few options: Bilstein B12, Eibach Pro-Kit + Bilstein B4 sport, my current M-sport springs + Bilstein B6 Adjustable 10... I am afraid that Bilstein B12 is too stiff for my liking, but the fact that is perfectly matched with Eibach Pro-Kit makes it very desirable. OP, can't wait for your review ![]() |

I can't wait to review it. No call today.
In the meantime I'm trying to memorize every bump, dip and curve on my normal route to/from work. It covers 30 to 50km/h town roads that are a bit rough to 130km/h autobahn, which isn't as smooth as you'd think, with a 270 degree on-ramp, and even a 2 1/2 inch or so curb that I have to drive over to park at my place. I'll try to cover all of that, plus of course a 200+ km/h trip east on the autobahn. I. Can't. Wait. |
