BMS DP fix question
Removing the DP cats results in a check engine light coming on after XX miles. Ignoring this issue are there any other negative effects?
Basically, if I install catless downpipes do I need to install the DP fix wiring for another reason besides the little warning light? I think that maybe the ECU will change settings based on what it thinks its reading but I'm not sure. If this does happen then the DP ifx is necessary. Thanks for the info! |

No, its just there to annoy you. I'm about to go through the same thing right now as I have catless downpipes and just took out my jb4 as I sold it.
However, it would be nice to have a BT scanner or something else to read the code just in case if it is something else other than the catless downpipes triggering the light... |

That's true. Never considered the fact that once the check engine (or whatever it is) light is on you have no way to know if something else unrelated has an issue. I guess I'll go ahead and install the BMS fix then. Can anyone tell if this is in fact the V3 unit? I've got a guy that wants to sell but isn't positive if it's v3. He thinks it is..
