Website and phone both say 111. Only internal access can see true status right now. I'm guessing once systems batch overnight it'll catch up.

Update! Week 18 production, delivery 2nd or 3rd week of July

Sounds about right, unfortunately it is extremely difficult to place an order for a custom built car and have it arrive at just the right time. Maybe you could re-schedule your PCD for early August just in case it takes longer than you expect?

So this is weird. I checked the 800 number today and it says my car is in production and will be completed April 19th! So much for a week 18 production week! I guess that means my car should be in the states by mid-May. Maybe I'll get my first week of June PCD after all...

The really big wait is after the production stage 4/4/12. From what I can figure after the car is loaded onto the train it is about 1~2 days from factory to Bremerhaven, then, after maybe a 10 day wait for the next shipping, a 14~16 day boat ride, then 2 days in Savannah (for me) then 2 days to San Antonio, then 1 day at dealers to install the PPK1 package and window tint. I will be exhausted by the time it arrives.

What's your expected completion date? I'm getting PCD so it dosen't go to my dealer!

I heard from the PCD that it's taking an average of 61 days from end of production to delivery at their facility, which is usually about 2 weeks longer than taking dealer delivery, so you're probably looking at mid-may delivery!

I'm looking at anywhere from 19 to 30 days for my pick up. Patience is not one of my virtues so this is giving me a chance to work on being more patient. At least something good will come from the wait.

I ordered my 128i on 3/24. Production was completed on 4/5, now (4/6) the 800 number says the car has been handed over to the carrier. Hopefully the rest of the process moves as swiftly!

You certainly have faired better than I have. The web still has my car in production. Happy to hear that you should be getting yours. Oh well, someday.

The 800 number seems to be the way to go. A few days ago it told me the car was in production with a scheduled completion date of 4/5 and that's what happened. I should say however that after listening to the recording again, the message says that it's been 'released to the carrier for delivery to port', so I'd imagine this is where the fun starts. Guess I should just try to forget about it for a while.

Today my 135i's status on the 800 number changed from in transit to at port awaiting vessel. What does this mean?

It means your car is at the port in Germany waiting to be loaded onto a ship.
It might take a week to actually get on a boat (maybe less, maybe more) then your status will change to in-transit.
Then talk to your CA and get the VIN and you can find out which ship you're on and track the ship as it crosses the ocean. Figure just inder 2 weeks on the water.

I'm really confused now. As I said, the 800 number changed my status from in transit, which I believe means the car is on a boat, to at port awating vessel, but the website has my car in finishing touches. My CA also has my car in the USA. I had read that the 800 had the latest information. How do I find out what is the correct status?

Here's what I would do:
Get the VIN from your CA. Plus it in to the shipper's website.
If the car is scheduled to get on the boat it will tell you. If the car is on the boat it will tell you which ship its on and when its scheduled to get into NY. If its been delivered already it will tell you that too.

Remember there are two different "in transit" status'. The first is in-transit from the factory in Leipzig to the port where it will get loaded onto the ship. I believe this is a train trip. Then there's "in transit" as in on the a boat headed to the US.

Just get the VIN from your CA and you can figure out where it is.

My car has, for 5 days now, been stuck on 'released to carrier and is awaiting transport to the port of exit' - which means it hasn't even got to the port yet. This stinks.

No but the train ride to the port only lasts a day or less.
The longer wait is at the port awaiting a ship.

You're probably right....I'll just keep checking the shipping site with my VIN. Maybe the 800 number's status hasn't changed yet.

If you are tracking your factory order, do not rely on the 800 number. The 800 number still has my car at the port awaiting a vessel, while my car arrived at the dealer yesterday and I'm taking delivery tomorrow. My CA did a great job keeping me updated at each stage. Thanks Gualter Pereira and BMW of West Springfield.

Good luck and hopefully your car made it aboard something.
Woo Hoo, got it, my vehicle should be arriving in Cali on the 3rd of May I still have to wait for it to pass customs and get to CO. but I think I should see it mid to still early May.

That's definitely comforting, since my car completed production on 4/6 and the 800 number has said 'released to carrier and awaiting transport to the port of exit' since then....my VIN can't be found on the shipping website, so I'm assuming it's at the port waiting.

How do you find the production codes?
