Where to buy 135i Brake air/cooling ducts? For retrofit them to 128i

I wish to purchase the brake ducts ONLY that go behind the front bumper/valence fro stock 135i or Performance bumper.

Any place where I can buy just these ducts?

It occurred to me that stock 128i Bumper has no air ducts for brake cooling.
Sure they are not 6 piston brakes, but it would be nice to retrofit and route some air that way. I have an I idea that is also visually pleasing.

Also how do Performance bumper air ducts differ from stock 135i? Real OEM shows that they feed air from center vent and not the side vent in stock 135i bumper.

I think you'd be better off switching to slotted or crossdrilled rotors and Cool Carbon pads.
I am about to install that combo on my 128. The CC pads are mostly for the brake dust issue.

if you spec a 128 w/m package front and rear bumpers and trim, then you get theses from the factory..

The only bad thing is that the duct just ends into the face of the spinning tire.. It does allow cooler / fresh air to enter the wheel well area, but by no means i would call them "brake cooling ducts" but they dont hurt either..

to add, i have the Perf Brakes on my car ( 6 piston brembos ) and i track 5-6 times a year.. my stock pads were pretty good, till i got better... better means bigger testicals to brake harder and later into some pretty wild corners at high rates of speed with your daily driver.. I run cool carbons for the spring to fall months, and stock pads for the winter.. cool carbons are def less dust.

Can you point me to the vendors for these cool carbon & slotted rotors for future reference?


So these ducts just add air to wheel well.
So does it make more sense to do a more simple version of this??

Is it even possible to retrofit cooling ducts onto a (non-M-Sport) 128i?

I was at the track last week and my car felt really good - but I wanted more brakes. I think once you sort the suspension, that becomes the 128i's "weak link." So that'll probably be my next mod, I think...but it would be cool to add some ducting, if possible. I was also looking at vented backing plates and brake ducting hose, but I can't figure out a place to route it to to let air in...would consider swapping bumpers if needed.

F30 shields are definitely one way.

I have more in mind to mimic 135i and BMP bumper

F30 backing plates are an easy and relatively cheap first step.....or you could try and fab up your own, wouldn't be too hard. I'm probably going to attempt adding 135 ducts to my 128i this summer, will need to do some exploratory work first but new fender liners will be required at the very least..

In 2012 I was thinking about doing the e39 style sink drain mod using pot light sheilds/shrouds.
On 128i it can look good and fill the wide smile of stock nonM-sport bumper

Nice - I think the performance bumper has specific brake ducts for it, or are they the same as 135i ducts? I'm tempted to consider something similar as well...you have a good source for the bumper?

its the ducts for the BMW Performance bumper, made for the 135i. The same plan Bimmer-Bob has, or hopefully hes already done..
