Steering knock noise - BMW 1 Series Coupe Forum / 1 Series Convertible Forum (1M / tii / 135i / 128i / Coupe / Cabrio / Hatchback) (BMW E82 E88 128i 130i 135i)

Hi guys I recently installed vorshlag plates, eibach springs and koni adjustable shocks. I've just now noticed a knock in the steering. It does not appear to be outboard. It seems to be in the column or rack or possibly inboard points of tie-rod.

Have you checked your sway bar end links? That happened to me a couple of weeks ago.

Hmm I am getting the same noise when I make sharp turns.

You should put your car up on a lift with someone inside of it. Then have someone under it - checking the rack/tie rods/and racj U-joints. Something is loose!
