cabin air filter

I was wondering, what cabin air filter is needed for our cars? I see there is a w/ Climate Control : Activated Charcoal and a w/out climate control, what is the difference? How do I know which I need?

I believe for USA, all 135i came with climate control

US Spec cars all have Klima Automatic (Automatic AC) as opposed to the manually adjustable AC that the euro and some Canadian cars get as standard equipment.

Yup, I saw that when I was pulling it a part the first time, thanks a lot for it ... I love the DIY's here.

Thank you for clarifying that the NA/US models have climate control, i'll go for the charcoal one that was recommended then.
